All About Acting: This course teaches various theories of acting from method acting to improv. It is designed to help students free their creativity, and feel comfortable in front of an audience. This free form class is silly and serious, romantic and angry, bitter and sweet, tragedy and comedy. Learn acting as an art, and gain freedom in confidence.
Child Star:
Designed to bring out the star in every child. Your child will gain confidence by learning how to audition, perform commercials and model. They work together in scene work and learn to express themselves in dramatic play. We want every child to feel like a star!
Get a Job:
No actor gets a job if they can't nail an audition. In this class you will learn a monologue, and a commercial. You will learn to slate, write a resume, and establish positive body language on and off camera.
You will learn acting and modeling techniques that will make you employable now! This class is the easiest way to break into "the biz".NOTE: This class is a combination of Commercial Acting/Commercial Print & Audition Skills Since the techniques from both of the classes is essential for the biz, it benefits the student to be able to learn all the required skills in one class.
Improv:
This class teaches the skills necessary to be comfortable in front of any audience. You will learn speaking and presentation skills, and be able to entertain your audience at the same time. Improv is the perfect class for anyone who gives presentations as a part of their job. The skills that you learn in Improv are useable on stage, off stage, and in life.
Musical Performance:
Musicians, songwriters, and vocalists must have performance skills if you want to be on stage in this town. Learn how to present your songs in a way that captures audience attention. If you don't have attention...no one is listening. Learn everything from how to introduce yourself, and your songs, simple choreography, maintaining eye contact, to keeping your audience awake and involved.
Stand-up Comedy: Learn writing techniques, timing, kinetics, presentation and delivery in this exciting new course. This is an adult class and students work will not be edited for content. After class it is off to the Great Basin Brewery for open-mic night. This is the “funniest” class offered in Reno.
